According to the mid-day market summary from China Feed Industry Information (Oct 16, 2026), overall feed raw materials remain soft, while feed additives such as vitamins and amino acids hold steady-to-firm — a key signal for feed producers.
Amino acids: Lysine is stable, with 98% lysine quoted at RMB 6.4/kg; August exports fell 3% year on year. Methionine is firm at RMB 24.8–25.4/kg: Adisseo's Nanjing plant is under maintenance in October, CJ Malaysia has shut its biol-methionine line without restart, and several suppliers suspended quotations and raised liquid methionine by 10%, as rising raw material costs support producer price hikes.
Vitamins: Vitamin A is bottoming out at RMB 53–57/kg, with Wanhua's VA line on maintenance and low Rhine water levels tightening supply. Vitamin E is recovering to RMB 48–52/kg as NHU's Shandong plant undergoes maintenance and producers lean bullish, reducing low-priced supplies.
Others: Fish meal stays firm, up RMB 500/ton to RMB 23,400–25,500/ton (Japanese grade). In contrast, soybean meal is pressured by high crushing, high inventories and weak demand, with both spot and basis trending lower.
